All XJS fuel line hoses, both these and the fuel line hoses, should be soft and pliable. If yours are rock hard put these on your maintenence todo list, sooner rather than later. If they are also cracked and/or leaking park your car and don't drive it as fuel seeping/leaking from these hoses or the injectors is by far the most common source of catastrophic fires that kill our cars.

Jaguar XJS V12 Fuel Injection Mount/Sealing Rings

12 each of both the large (upper) and small (lower) fuel injector mount/sealing rings. When performing maintenance on the fuel injection system, it's highly recommended that, at a minimum, the lower seals be replaced. Given the relatively low cost and long interval between service in this system, new rubber all the way around is a good idea. Jaguar list $72.12, our cost $64.72.
